Please note that as these alternators are supplied for a large number of different engines and belt setups, you may need to swap your pulley to keep the belts in line. VW actually suggest replacing this with the later alternator (bolt on connections) and supplied a conversion kit for the wiring, but if that hasn’t been done previously this is a straightforward replacement.
