Description VW never fitted a Pillar Mount aerial in the factory as far as we know. Certainly there is no mention of it in VWs parts system for any region, and if it doesn’t have a part number it doesn’t exist as far as Volkswagen go! However, there are a lot of UK models with them fitted… we assume dealer fit items, and of course, like a lot of things that are 30 years old… they’re all dropping in pieces. We’ll be honest here, we’ve avoided selling these as there isn’t one available that we would call “high quality”… but we’ve needed a few for replacements in the workshop now, so here they are. Features a stainless steel whip ,the body is cheap chromed plastic, They wont last forever, but at this price we can’t fault them and reception is surprisingly good and they are no worse than ayone else sells.
